Here at QuickandBig.com we are privileged to be able to offer to the market, on behalf of Z Cars Evolution Ltd their recently factory built, supercharged, Honda K20 powered classic Mini Restomod.
Our extreme Mini has just been dyno’d and is producing 405.5bhp / 360nM of torque, at only 830kg (wet) frankly the speed available from the pocket rocket should come with a Government Health Warning! It has 488bhp per tonne, a number that exceeds many members of Super / Hyper car royalty, for example its more than the Radical RXC 3.6 Twin Turbo, Pagani Zonda F and a Ferrari Enzo!
The Z Cars Supercharged K20 Mini has just been filmed by Officially Gassed, in a David “v” Goliath battle against a 820bhp Nissan Skyline, its been viewed over 84,000 times in the first 24 hours! Its a great watch, a link is below:
Our ballistic Mini was built for its commissioning 1st owner at Z Cars Evolution factory. during 2020 – 21, to the highest of standards, and has just been the subject of a refresh (including full respray) at the factory in readiness for sale.
Our ballistic Restomod has just been the subject of a 6 page feature in Mini Magazine, where it was described as an “adrenalized psychopath”. A copy of the magazine accompanies the car.
Since the completion of its build in 2021 its only covered 350 miles. As such our supercharged Honda K20 VTEC engined, rear wheel drive example is presented in almost as new condition. Having been factory built, refreshed by and is being sold on their behalf, a Z Cars Evolution Ltd warrantee accompanies our high octane classic Restomod.
The story of Z Cars is compelling, nearly three decades of British engineering and ingenuity. Z Cars was originally founded in 1999, and quickly built up an almost cult following for its wild creations, its most popular engine swaps / conversations were for the Classic Mini.
Nearly two decades later the rights to the conversions and brand name were sold to David Rose, a long standing customer of Z Cars and a new company (Z Cars Evolution Ltd) was formed now based in Ashford, Kent.
David’s new company has invested significant time, engineering prowess and cash, developed the Z Cars brand into a bespoke manufacturer of turnkey, high octane, resto mods, again based (but not exclusively) on the Classic Mini .
Z Cars Evolution staying true to the extreme Z Cars heritage, whilst offering new levels of refinement, safety, technology, and potential everyday usability.
Z Cars Evolution have global aspirations for their continuation classics. The Restomod scene for re-engineered iconic cars is growing at pace, you could argue that Z Cars were right in there at the beginning of the trend for Restomods. Indeed Z Cars heritage pre dates most of the new entrants into the Restomod market. Their stunning “Mini’s reimagined” set the bench mark, others try to imitate.
With over twenty years of heritage, Z Cars were building Restomods, before the portmanteau combining restored and moderised had even been created!
A quick “google” reveals what great value Z Cars, UK based, enthusiast built, Restomod’s are. It’s very easy to spend over £150k on an Escort, £250k on an Alfa, over £500k on a Volvo, and £600k on a Jaguar, there are of course many others. In the UK and across the pond other classic Mini Restomod manufacturers, are marketing their offerings are £100-200k plus.
The stunning, recently built example offered here, offers the modernity of a Honda K20 VTEC mounted amidships, equipped with Merc Racing MR 1900 Supercharger and a water-to-Air charge cooler kit. Our factory built example is not only a devastating track day hero, its fully trimmed and useable as an extreme daily driver.
A huge amount of money has been poured into the build and development of this unique Mini. Beat the 9-12 month waiting list, to have a contemporary, equivalent car built. If this car was commissioned today would costs well over £80,000.
The K20 EP3 engine as found in our car, originated in the Honda Civic Type R (2001 – 2005). The K20 in our example was fully serviced, including all seals and gaskets, replacement timing chain and water pump by Z Cars, prior to its installation and change to forced induction.
The 2 litre, VTEC K20 engine as attained legendary status, prices of this engine and indeed its donor car are appreciating. The VTEC’s high revving capability, reliability, tunability and aural sound track (like a large bike engine, without some of the compromises) make it a firm “petrol head” favorite.
In standard spec, power peaks @ around 215 bhp / 200Nm of torque, these legendary engines are capable of so much more. There is a huge tuning scene for the Honda VTEC engines, the addition of the modifications to accommodate the Supercharger, in our example have dearly doubled its standard BHP and torque. The power delivery is smooth and linear, and the torque curve nice and flat. A copy of its most recent dyno graph accompany the car.
Our Restomod Mini (M105 RKM) was first registered on 09/05/1995, as such is over 25 years old and therefore able to be exported to a number of international destinations including the United States. We can of course help with organising shipping etc.

Many thanks for wading through our lengthy description, we believe it’s better to describe our cars fully. It is not in our interest to waste your time or ours, with inaccurate or incomplete descriptions.
Our factory built, supercharged, Honda K20 powered, Z Cars Mini restomod, really does tick all the QuickandBig.com boxes, it is great value, very, very quick, beautifully presented, and useable as a very extreme daily driver.
Importantly our reimagined Mini doesn’t come with some of the compromises associated with extreme kit / track focused “weekend“ cars, it is potentially usable as an extreme daily driver, rather than being left to languish in the garage from one MOT to the next!
