Here at QuickandBig.com we are delighted if not a little intimidated to be able to offer for sale, on behalf of Z Cars Evolution Ltd, there world famous Fiabusa. It even comes with a 6 month factory warranty.

The brain child of Z Cars Evolution, our factory built machine, mates a classic Fiat 500 (with Abarth styling), with a near 200bhp Suzuki Hayabusa engine, its looks cute and retro, but with a 11,000 rpm redline, it sounds incredible and goes like no other Fiat 500 I’ve ever seen!

It’s a very famous car too, a YouTube Petrol Ped review of our pocket rocket (where is was described as “masterpiece of engineering”, has attracted over 2.2 million views. Please see the link below:

Our Busa powered Fiat, is one of the first reimagined Fiat 500’s built by Z Cars Evolution Ltd, and the only one built to date with Hayabusa power. One of the other Z Cars Fiat 500’s, which is powered by a Surbaru flat 4, is also available for sale at QuickandBig.com.

Our unique example, was built by Z Cars Evolution and finished in 2023. Using a similar space frame system as their renowned Classic Mini’s. With the 6 sequential speed, Gen 2, Suzuki engine mounted where the original boot / rear seats would have been. There is no chain drive here, as there was with older bike engine Z Car conversions. The Fiabusa is equipped with a Quaife drive box, with a integrated reverse and limited slip differential. .

The story of Z Cars is compelling, nearly three decades of British engineering and ingenuity. Z Cars was originally founded by Chris Alison in 1999, and quickly built up an almost cult following for its wild creations, its most popular engine swaps / conversations were for the Classic Mini.

Nearly two decades later the rights to the conversions and brand name were sold to David Rose, a long standing customer of Z Cars and a new company (Z Cars Evolution Ltd) was formed, based in Ashford, Kent.

David’s new company has invested significant time, engineering prowess and cash, developing the Z Cars brand into a bespoke manufacturer of turnkey, high octane, reimagined classics, again based (but not exclusively, as we see here) on the Classic Mini.

Z Cars Evolution staying true to the extreme performance Z Cars heritage, whilst offering new levels of refinement, safety, technology, and potential everyday usability.

Z Cars Evolution have global aspirations for their continuation classics. As such they has recently rebranded as “Diminutive” by Z Cars, reimagining and manufacturing in house, turnkey, extreme (up to 500bhp), luxury restomods, their products are attracting huge social media audiences and customers from around the world, for these bespoke high performance classics.

The Restomod scene for re-engineered iconic cars is growing at pace, you could argue that Z Cars were right in there at the beginning of the Restmod trend.

ECD 509C was first manufactured in 1965, and was conceived as a Z Cars Evolution factory demonstrator, is correctly registered as a 1.3 Fiat 500. As its over 25 years old, its able to be exported to the United States, we can help with shipping contacts, but the responsibility for shipping / duty / registration remains with the new owner.

Its producing about 15 times more power than the original Fiat 500, but carrying only marginally more weight It weighs in at 625kg, and with 197bhp, thats over 300bhp per ton. As the Fiabusa is now 55 years old, it is registered as a historic vehicle, as such, should the new owner wish, its MOT, road tax and ULEZ exempt.

The 1.3 Gen 2, 1340cc Suzuki Hayabusa engine, originated in the legendary Suzuki super bike of the same name. At launch back in 1999, the “Busa” was the fasted standard production motor cycle of all time (194 mph), there were even calls to ban it! Since then its performance and tunability (there is a huge turbo charging scene for the Busa engine). From the factory the Gen 2 Hayabusa produced 197bhp at a bonkers 10,100 rpm (11,000rpm redline). In the Fiabusa, that’s driven through a six speed sequential box with clutchless up shifts (2nd – 6th), to the rear wheels via its Quaife drive box and LSD. All of Z Cars creations are a little crazy, the Fiabusa turns this up to 11!
